How to join this rewarding fraternity...

There are two ways to get started, if you know a Freemason, ask them for more information, they will guide you and answer questions to the best of their ability.


If you don't know a Freemason, or, if you would like additional information, complete the form below, all serious candidates will go through the research & reflect suggestions in order to assist them in providing an earnest motivation below.


Once you have sent us your details we will be in touch with you to discuss the way forward.

Fundamental pre-requisites

  • Be a man* in good standing (i.e. no history of criminal charges).
  • Be of mature age (at least 21 years old).
  • Be interested in personal and intellectual improvement.
  • Discuss with your family if necessary.

Research & Reflect

  • Research using validated sources.
  • Read the FAQ's.
  • Watch the short Discovering Freemasonry video.
  • Complete the Application Request below.


Optional but highly recommended:

  • Read a few issues of FMT (Freemasonry Today online magazine) - Read here.
  • Listen to a few issues of the Craftcast podcast - Listen here.

  • I have no criminal record.
  • I have done my research.
  • I apply of my own free will and accord.
  • My work/lifestyle allows me to attend Lodge meetings (at most once a month) on a regular basis.

What next?

Arrangements will be made to meet you socially to find out more about you, and to give you a chance to find out more about us.


You would then in due course be invited to meet a committee of members from a Lodge you might be joining, prior to being balloted for membership of that Lodge.


All being well, arrangements will then be made for your admission.
